Learn to be a crepehanger

this term I select one course cs 591rej offered by Ralph Johnson, mainly because of his famous book design patterns.

The smalltalk language seems easy at the first glance --- but after listening to three classes, i think i can finish the 2 homeworks in 2 hours. Well, as you can expect, just like most coding schedules did, my real time is three times of the estimation,

the things I should keep note
1. do fast, try early, be organized.
2. Ralph's words: most programming languages are fast enough:  nowdays small talk on a PC is faster than the comba on a supercomputer 10 years ago!
3. Ralph's words again: why should multi-core be popular? hard to code with multi-core, and usual business doesn't need that!

还有啊，msn messenger是我见过的最最垃圾的软件了
以前在我机器上，莫名其妙就是启动不了，hang

恩，最近我笔记本上的msn messenger 出问题了，一聊天就蓝屏。
症状太过诡异，甚至怀疑是不是老板偷偷设置的，要我们好好工作。

近日获悉，我系在今年的国家自然科学基金申请中取得较大进步。共有1项重点基金（我系参与）和6项面上项目获准，其中自由申请2项、青年基金3项、联合基金1项，总批准经费225万元。这7项项目的（联合）申请人和项目分别是是，李厚强副教授的合作申请重点基金和联合资助项目（基于视频信号表达的视频自适应关键技术研究）、俞能海教授的面上项目（网络信息热点发现与深度知识挖掘模型研究）、倪林副教授的面上项目（广义量子测量理论启发的新型框架及其在多描述编码中的应用）、卢汉成博士的面上青年基金（移动环境下自适应可扩展延时容忍路由算法研究）、庞彦伟博士的面上青年基金（小样本大间隔流形学习）和张巍博士的面上青年基金（可伸缩中文语音合成系统的研究）。

hehe，还有，xuelong快要回去了吧。:-)

这两天tangya的车技似乎练得不错了(相比起来，我自己一直没练，水平恐怕不行了，汗)，于是吵着去考驾照。 星期五晚上她做了个梦，梦中我把她的车胎弄爆了让她考不了试。早上醒来她跟我说了这个梦，我觉得真是莫名其妙（汗^2）。没想到，没想到，。。。车开到半路真的出问题了。 看着爆掉的胎我当时半天说不出话来....

于是开始练习换胎. 用yuxiao的话说，用千斤顶挺容易的。 :-P 水城大哥拍马赶到，一通忙活，终于又把车弄回到了家. shuicheng对tangya说了句最经典的话：你什么时候做个关于我们的iccv的梦吧！
